Jerrick Adds New Mental Health Community, Psyche.Media To Publishing Platform Vocal

Published on August 16, 2017

NEW YORK, Aug. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Jerrick Media Holdings, Inc., (OTCQB: JMDA) (the "Company" or "Jerrick"), a technology company, announced today that it has added a new community to Vocal, its premier long-form social publishing network, called Psyche. Psyche is an open conversation about mental health; stories, experiences, advice and real life. It explores the inner workings of the human soul, mind, and spirit.

Vocal is a social publishing hub engineered for creation and discovery, spanning niche-communities in food, music, science fiction, the workplace, pop culture and many more. Connecting original content with communities passionate about the topics, Vocal's proprietary, algorithmic engine capitalizes on the power of specific and dedicated audiences, promoting maximum SEO exposure and monetization opportunities.

The Vocal platform has now grown to 19 niche-community websites since its introduction in late November 2016.  New communities are objectively and quantitatively derived in response to voices (interest levels) within the rapidly growing Vocal community and the evolving trends of content providers. The Company plans to roll out additional community sites as 2017 progresses.

"We launched Psyche today in response to a significant influx of content devoted to the crucial topic of emotional and social well-being," commented Jeremy Frommer, co-founder & CEO of Jerrick.  "The success of Vocal and its rapid growth in content creators – now numbering over 23,000 – has created a unique opportunity for us to expand our community universe in response to content creators' interests and viewers' enthusiasm.  Last month we launched six new community sites, all of which have experienced exponential growth since their introduction."
