Creatd, Inc. Announces the Launch of the 2023 Vocal Writing Awards

Published on July 13, 2023

NEW YORK, N.Y., July 14, 2023—Creatd, Inc. ($VOCL), the parent company of Vocal, proudly announces the launch of the 2023 Vocal Writing Awards. This initiative marks a significant evolution, building upon the success of Vocal's previous Challenges, which have collectively attracted over 200,000 submissions since 2020.

The 2023 Vocal Writing Awards aligns with Creatd’s strategic vision to engage a broader spectrum of creators, elevate diverse voices, and celebrate our robust community of 2 million creators. The Awards span eight categories, including Flash Fiction, Science Fiction, Fantasy Fiction, Horror Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, Romance Fiction, Free Verse Poetry, and Haiku Poetry. With a starting prize pool of $14,000 that expands with each entry and a unique community-driven judging process, the Vocal Writing Awards presents a compelling opportunity for creators to showcase their talent and earn recognition.

In an effort to maximize organic marketing and minimize dependence on paid media strategies, the Company has integrated a referral program into the 2023 Vocal Writing Awards. This strategy motivates individuals to nominate other creators for participation in the competition, rewarding each successful nomination with a $5 gift card for the nominator.

The referral program encourages participants to organically spread the word about the Awards through social media, email, and text messages. This not only increases the number of entrants but also enriches the diversity of submissions, thereby fostering a more vibrant and diverse community of creators. Each nomination also contributes to the growth of the prize pool, further enhancing the appeal of the contest, while at the same time providing a new custom acquisition channel.

"We're thrilled about the potential of the 2023 Vocal Writing Awards to engage more creators and amplify a diverse array of voices," expressed Justin Maury, COO of Creatd. "The launch of our nomination referral program signifies our commitment to fostering organic growth within our platform. It's about rallying our community to participate and transform these Awards into a truly extraordinary event.”
